The Philosophy

Hey y’all. We’re so happy you stopped by our humble little blog to learn more about Humble Pie.

The philosophy is simple. Freshly prepared food that fills the belly and comforts the soul – with butter, lots of butter.

Our kitchen blends the tastes that remind me of my home in Tennessee with flavors that I grew to love from living in New York, Switzerland and, now, Germany. We use seasonal produce (sorry, no cherry pie in January!) and collaborate with other Berlin based producers when we can. Sweet pies are always a staple on our street food and catering menu as are buttermilk biscuits, fried chicken and other classic southern dishes. All our pies and biscuits are made from scratch.

Our treats are available from our food truck (aka the pie wagon) or catering at events across Berlin. We don’t have a fixed location, but we are working on some fun pop-ups/restaurant takeovers for the fall and holiday season – more about that soon!
